This website runs on a custom content management framework I wrote, called SpiderRoll.
It's written in PHP. I use as little JavaScript as possible, because each browser has its own idea of what JavaScript is, users can disable it, and it generally encourages excessive flash.
Vim is my preferred code editor. It doesn't suck.
I used to use, and still recommend, ZoneEdit for DNS hosting. They have a strange pricing scheme that I don't quite understand, but the service seems to be free, provided you don't swamp them with traffic. Their interface is pretty nice too. Currently, I use my web hosting provider's DNS service. It's Your Domain provides cheap domain registration.
I use the popular Gallery photo album organizer to display photos. It's nice.
Jakob Nielson says personal websites should display an author biography and picture. I guess I'll have to work up a bio.
