Here's the Deal
October 28, 2006
Many of my "designs" are targeted at C and C++ programmers, in that each is really just a single C/C++ language keyword, such as volatile, public, and my best (and only) seller, extern.
Another design simply reads "Here's the Deal", in a Barbara Kruger-esque typeface and color scheme. The phrase is Courtney's family's family catchphrase.
The best shirt in my opinion is America 2.0, which lists off an assortment of dubious, post 9/11 American "accomplishments".
The NSFW (Not Safe for Work) line or merchandise, I of course dedicate to my friend Ruhul and his now-defunct mailing list, usualsuspects@ruhulio.com. As you can probably guess, some of the messages on the list were not safe for work. If so, they always said as much right on the subject line, NSFW.
I think the prices are a little steep. I mark the shirts up $1. CafePress keeps the rest. I bought three shirts for myself, in part to see what the quality was like. I'm most pleased with the black and day-glow green shirts. The white blah, blah, like shirt wasn't as crisp as the others and I plan to play with the design and printing settings to see if it can be improved upon. The Here's the Deal coffee mug is nice and crisp. I bought a set for Courtney's entire family. So if one of you is reading this, remind your folks to bring you your mug the next time they visit.
