Over-Sexed Machine August 22, 1997

Dear Dr. Max,

I don't know if you can help me. I like to have sex 4 or 5 times a day but my husband only likes to make love 2 or 3 times a day. This issue is pulling us apart. I say it's his duty to satisfy me and he says that I'm oversexed. Meanwhile, he won't let me take any additional lovers to make up for his slack. Who's at fault here? Please help us.

Dear Insatiable,

You are truly sick and must seek help immediately. Having sex more than eight times a week is abnormal. Period. However, if you insist on trying to make things work without therapy, or more appropriately, hospitalization, then perhaps the following stop-gap measure will be of some use to you. Take a nap during one or two of your and your co-dependent's whoopie-making periods. Have him wake you up before it's all over. When you wake up, it will kinda-sorta be like doing it again! This will keep you and your ride both within your preferred boink counts. (I'm especially proud of the cleverness of this solution. I must pat myself on the back. There -- I just did.)
